So, inspired by Leah (Salamandersoup :D) spontaneously doodling a few old, old characters of mine and skillfully displaying the fact that, if they're drawn well, maybe they don't suck so bad- I drew this. Mostly because I saw what she was working from, saw the end result and curled into a corner for a few hours.

There may have been some cutting.

Then, a sweet Pro Tip about drawing/proportioning eyeballs from that very same Leah blew my brain into tiny squirmy bits and, to my surprise, made a lot of what I drew look like only half the crap it was before.

Hence this- Also, for fun, here's a progression of our scruffy, samurai-cowboy.

Very good, except for some reason it looks like that's his back and not his front? Like his head is on backwards? I think that might just be me x__x;

Makes me think of "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly" (probably because I was watching that today and it seems like it is AWESOME).

oh yeah yeah, I'm agreeing with ~Taylorman on the backwards head thing. That could probably be fixed by pulling the cloth around his neck down so it drapes over his clavicle area. Or by pulling the cloth behind his neck higher.

I agree very much with the both of you.

His ponch is reaallllly flat. I "tried" to fix it, but by the time I got around to his hat I wasn't caring so much about anything....

...Now I guess I gotta fix it :I

A-That movie is the bee's knees. All six of em.
B-It also probably reminds you of it because this dooder is based almost entirely on Clint Eastwood's Blondie character from that trilogy :D

That and Yojimbo, but more Blondie.

Well I had a good teacher :D That's one of my favorite things about learning. Let someone else figure it out and then ask them what they've observed :D :D :D

Also, I'm not sure how I feel about the gif. It seems rather condescending and a little ominous.

alllllmost - i'm to tired to do it now, but tomorrow i'll draw over this and show you what I mean. It'll be easier for me to draw it than to try and explain it.
