My friend asked me to paint a mural on his son's wall. He and his girlfriend decided on "travel" for their theme and wanted lottsa landmarks and what not. I desperately worked up designs that would be interesting and, more importantly, EASY.
They, however, liked my first design. A skyline made up of their choice of landmarks.
The wall is 13.7Wx8H.
That's feet. FEET.
I've worked for a combined total of roughly 8 hours (JUST on the wall- not counting the time it took to produce the silhouettes.. which were all, save for the Tower of Pisa, made up by me). So far, I've managed to pencil in the rough outlines of the Coliseum, Parthenon, Sydney Opera House, Arc de Triomphe and St. Basil's Cathedral.
;_;
5 down and 4 to go- THEN IT'S PAINT TIME
**My FAVORITE part about this wall is that when Leland (my friend's son) is old enough to walk, he can use this wall to supplement pretending to be Godzilla- and I WILL make sure he knows what Godzilla is.
All in due time.
*This is a rough, by the way. Certain details and fixes will occur when we actually paint the mural*
Very creative idea. I like it! If you are still looking for more buildings, you should add the William Wallace Monument (easy because it is just a tower with no windows or anything). The really, really sad thing is that I have only been to the Arch de Triomphe and Eiffle Tower: clearly I need to travel more.
... I love how you're working on and painting this wall RIGHT after you complete your own. Are you at least getting help on this wall? Also, have fun with the paint fumes. AGAIN.
AS for the design, awesome and cute. Are these gonna be the exact colors too? Also, I feel the need to point out, on the Parthenon, you forgot the large amounts of construction scaffolding that blocks your view... Haha, sorry.

If you read anything dealing with modern literary criticism, you'll discover that pretty much anything can be interpreted as phallic. Are you still working on this project or is it Godzilla-impersonation ready?
The amount of work that you're going to have to do makes me want to vomit and then write a haiku about it. D: When you say you made up the silhouettes did you mean you drew them all yourself or did you create them using photos?
When you vomit, please vomit one up for me an my homies.
And by "homies" I mean also me.
Yeah, I worked them from photographs to ensure symmetry. Just a whole helluva lot of tracing with the pen tool... NOW I'm graphin' em onto the wall. ;___; taking soooooo long.

Also, I just can't stand the idea of adding anything more work wise onto this project.
